How I handle your information
Last updated October 19, 2026. This page explains what I collect when you visit this site or book a Profit Check, why I collect it, who helps me handle it, and what you can ask me to do.
The short version
- I collect what you type into the Profit Check application and the booking, plus basic technical details when you visit.
- I use it to reply to you, decide whether a call will help, and run the call. If you tick the box, I also send you occasional notes.
- A few tools help me do this: Railway (which hosts this site and stores the application form answers, bookings and playbook sign-ups), my email and video tools, and, if I switch them on, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel.
- I do not sell your information.
- You can ask to see it, correct it or delete it any time: hello@theadsgirl.com.
Who I am
This site is run by Paola Oliveira, based in Spain, trading as The Ads Girl. I decide how your information is used. You can reach me at hello@theadsgirl.com.
What I collect, and why
When you visit the site. Your IP address, browser and device type, and the page you asked for. My hosting provider records this so the site loads and stays secure. The site itself does not set cookies.
When you apply for a Profit Check (the form on this site). Your name and email, your store address, what you sell, your yearly sales range, your monthly ad spend, the platforms you run ads on, who runs your ads, what isn't working in your own words, whether you are open to sharing margins and product costs, who else weighs in on decisions, and when you would like to start. If you tick the optional box, your agreement to receive occasional notes. The form also keeps the tags in the link you clicked, for example "instagram", so I know where applications come from. I use this to decide whether a call will help you and to prepare for it.
When you book a call. Your name, email, time zone and the time you pick, plus anything you add. The booking is handled on this site and stored with the rest of my records, and I send you a confirmation email with the call link.
When you get the free playbook. Your name and email, which you enter on this site. They are stored with my records so I can give you access to the playbook and see who signed up. I email you the access link.
If you email or message me. What you send, and my replies.
Numbers you share before or on a call. Your revenue, ad spend, product costs, margins and discounts. I use them only to answer the question you asked me, and I keep them confidential.
Optional analytics. I may switch on two tools to understand how the site is used and to measure my own advertising: Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel. See "Cookies and similar tools" below.
My reasons for using your information
- To answer your request. You asked for a call, and I need your details to reply and book it.
- To run my business properly. For example, keeping the site secure, replying to enquiries, keeping records of who applied, and learning which pages and posts bring in the right people.
- Because you agreed. For the optional notes (the tick box), and, where the law asks for it, for analytics and advertising cookies. You can take back your agreement at any time.
Who helps me handle it
These services handle information on my behalf. Each has its own privacy policy, and it applies when you use their pages.
- My email provider, to send and receive our messages.
- Railway (railway.com/legal/privacy) for hosting this site and for storing, in its database, the answers you send in the application form.
- Microsoft Clarity (privacy.microsoft.com) and the Meta Pixel (facebook.com/privacy/policy), only if I switch them on.
I do not sell your information, and I do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing. I may share it if the law requires me to.
Cookies and similar tools
This site does not set cookies of its own. While you use the application form, it remembers your first name, email and the tags in your link inside your browser for the length of your visit, only to greet you, prefill the booking page and note where you came from; that is not sent anywhere except with your own submissions. Booking happens on this site, with no outside booking tool. If I switch on Microsoft Clarity, it records how people use a page (clicks, scrolling, where they get stuck) so I can fix confusing parts. If I switch on the Meta Pixel, it tells Meta that a visit or a booking happened, so I can measure my ads. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and for Meta you can change your ad settings in your Meta account.
Moving information across borders
The services above are often based in the United States or elsewhere, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live, including outside the EU and UK. I rely on the safeguards those providers offer.
How long I keep it
Application and booking details: for 24 months after our last contact, or until you ask me to delete them. If we work together, for as long as I need them to do the work and meet legal and tax duties. Occasional notes: until you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask me to:
- show you what I hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop or limit how I use it, or object to a use;
- stop sending you notes, or take back any agreement you gave.
Email me at hello@theadsgirl.com and I will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how I handled something, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es). If you live in Canada, California or another place with its own privacy rights, those rights apply to you too, and you can use the same email address.
Children
This site is for business owners. It is not meant for children, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If I change the tools I use or how I use your information, I will update this page. The date at the top shows the latest version.
